Ask the Ambassador: What Should I Put on my Business Cards? Where Should I Print them?
I put something special at the end of the video for those who watch all the way to the end, past the credits. Send me a message @Ambassador once you check it out.
Many of you may be getting ready for an upcoming conference. If you are 1 month away, you should definitely check your business card inventory and start thinking about refueling. You may want to keep the design exactly the same and use the same printing company. If you are looking for something fresh, read on.
What should I put on my business card
I’m a fan of keeping it simple and remembering the purpose of a business card–To serve as a calling card that someone can use to easily contact you, when they need you. The basics to have covered:
- Your Name
- Company / business name (if you have one)
- Website Address
- Email Address
- Phone number
You can add social media or if you really want to get fancy you can add a QR code that leads to a specific page. My QR code takes you to my About Page. You can create a landing page with a video that says, Thank you for connecting and tell them a little bit about who you serve and what problems you help them solve.
Where should I get my business cards printed
When it comes to selecting a business card providers one of the most important things to me is the paper stock. If you present someone with a flimsy business card, they are going to think your business is flimsy–although you may be the best thing since sliced bread.
Here are 6 different companies you can checkout for your printing needs:
|Company||Price/card||Min Order||Card Stock||Provides
My personal choice is Moo.com. I don’t always use business cards (I go virtual), but when I do, I prefer Moo.com for the quality of their cards and their secret sauce. Their secret sauce is a technology called Printfinity which allows you to print a different image on each of the cards in your order. So What? That means you could potentially have different products on your cards; you can have different services represented on your cards. You don’t have to choose just one. How cool is that?
